February Writing Challenge: Day FOURTEEN

February Writing Challenge: Day Fourteen

Today’s post is going to be about Valentine’s Day (four days late – are you catching the theme of my blog? Procrastination. That’s it). The challenge asks me to talk about the Valentine’s traditions that I practiced when I was a child.

When I was a kid my mother would put Valentine hearts all around the house before I woke up in the morning with inspirational words and ton’s of “I love you’s.” Then she would make me a special breakfast and send me off to school if I had it with my Valentine’s for everyone else.

At school we would have our Valentine’s that we would share with everyone else and we would have a party or snacks and possibly do Valentine crafts.

Nowadays I have dinner with my dad for Valentine’s Day because even on the years I’ve had a Valentine request I’ve always wanted to choose him.  Afterall, he is the coolest guy I know.
