February Writing Challenge: Day TWENTY-EIGHT

February Writing Challenge: Day Twenty-Eight

I DID IT! With no organization, lots of spelling/grammar errors, many skipped days/day with more than one post, I AM FINALLY DONE. This writing challenge has taught me the largest life lesson that I’ve always known but usually ignore: I do NOT do well with people/things telling me what to do. This writing challenge told me that I HAD to sit down and write a post about a random topic. Well, my stubborn self challenged my writing challenge and that’s why it was so difficult for me. My next post will be a more in-depth explanation as to why I suck at writing challenges and possibly will never do one again.

Without further ado, the last day of my February Writing Challenge asks me to copy down some song lyrics so I’ve put together some of my favorite songs ( I do not own the rights to any of these songs) and I’ve chosen a specific part of the song to share with all of you. I’ve decided not to explain why, I’ll let the music speak for itself. Please feel free to drop your favorite song/song lyrics in the comments. I promise to listen to the song that you send me and let you know what I think about it!

Again, thank you for taking this journey with my and continuously reading my posts even if they were many days late.

Half of My Heart — John Mayer “…half of my heart is a shotgun wedding to a bride with a paper ring. Half of my heart is the part of a man who’s never truly loved anything…”

I Should Have Known — Foo Fighters “…I should have known, I was inside of you. I should have known there was that side of you. Came without a warning, caught me unaware…one thing is for certain, I’m still standing here, I should have known…”

Somebody New — The Struts “…If only this started when love was something new to me, I’d never have questioned, rejecting what we could have been, but when you’ve been broken, some wounds remain open that no one can heal…”

I Lived — OneRepublic “…I owned every second that this world could give, I saw some many places, the things that I did. Yeah, with every broken bone, I swear I lived..”

You Can’t Stop Me — Andy Mineo “…They try to shut us down and it ain’t gon’ slide, only thing I fear is God and He on my side, that’s the confidence of God, ’cause He got me, that’s why I really feel like you can’t stop me!…”

Karma — Spirit Animal “…I must have been a piece of work in my past life, I must have been a low life in my past live, I don’t know why I’m sleeping in my clothes on a mattress that I borrowed and everyone I know is an internet model, looking for a follow. What do you want me to say? I’m the Jordan of making mistakes. Karma don’t forget…”

Don’t forget, if you feel up to it, send me the name to your favorite song and why (if you choose to add why). I swear I’ll listen to the song and tell you my thoughts!!
