This week is 2019’s Mental Health Week (October 6 — October 12). As a mental health advocate I couldn’t resist but posting my support.
If you are struggling with a mental illness, please know that you are not alone. There are resources that are here to help you. Reach out to a trusted friend or family member or anyone you know will help you take care of yourself.
You matter and you are loved. What we go through as those select individuals who have a mental illness can be unifying. Reach out to support groups, sometimes it’s helpful to simply be around others who truly have felt the pain you have; or at least similar pain.
If you or someone you know is struggling please seek help or encourage your loved one to seek help. Below I have listen the Crisis Hotline Number (United States).
If you are unsure how to obtain help and do not feel you have anyone you can talk to please feel free to go over to my Blog Contacts and send me an email, I’ll reply within a day and help you find the resources. With that being said if you feel you are in danger of harming yourself or someone else, your first call should be to emergency services where they will be able to assist in keeping you safe and getting you the help you deserve.
Stay strong and remember, you’re not in this alone. We are a team and I am here for you. Always.
