Full disclosure, I’m a hot-mess express right now. I am drowning in school work, have hours of training videos to watch for my internship and I’m going out of town this weekend so today’s blog post is going to be a simple Q and A. I’ve complied a few questions that I feel comfortable answering. If you have any other questions you’d like to know about me, drop a comment below and I’ll respond to them!
What are some things that most people don’t know about you? I feel like in recent years I have become so much more open with everyone around me so this question is slightly tricky. I used to be closed off to everyone and wouldn’t let anyone know things about me, lately I can’t stop telling people about my views and opinions. I guess something that I keep quiet on the most is my dream to be a published author. A lot of people know that I love writing and they know about the blog, but they don’t know that I’ve secretly been working on two books for the last year. I think I keep that one a secret the most in fear that I won’t succeed and then everyone will know I failed at my dream.
What are your favorite movies? I am a major horror fan as many of you know but a fun fact about me would be that some of my favorite movies are not horror movies! Beaches, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, Now and Then, and Tuck Everlasting make up a few of my all-time-favorite movies. I highly recommend watching these movies if you haven’t.
What is your favorite childhood memory? I had a fun childhood. I think my favorite memory though would be watching The Golden Girls with my grandma every night before bed. I was fortunate to live in a duplex growing up and my parents lived in the bottom apartment so I was always a staircase away from my grandma and papa. That was definitely an advantage growing up so closely to my grandparents.
Do you have an embarrassing story? I have so many. Recently I took a call for a job interview but I applied to multiple jobs so I mixed up what agency I was speaking to and went into a long rant about how I wanted to work for this one company just to have the woman say “okay, well I’m _____ from _____ not _____.” Basically, I didn’t get the job and I made a fool out of myself by raving over a different company on a job interview.
What has been your greatest success in life so far? I have a Bachelor’s Degree and I’m almost half-way done with graduate school! It’s no small feat.
What would you say to a younger version of yourself? I would tell myself not to be afraid to be exactly who I am. I would tell myself of all the time and energy I would waste by pretending to be something I’m not.
If you could have lunch with one person, who would it be? Michelle Obama. That woman is legendary. Or Helena Bonham Carter.
What things make you happy? My friends, my dog, my nieces, reading, writing, sleeping. Food.
